Review: INSOLACE – Not Alright

Insolace - Not Alright Coming out of London we have up-and-comers Insolace. With a modern alternative sound and lyrical content that most people can relate to, this group are setting themselves up for success. With a punchy sound, great melodies, and relatable lyrics, Insolace come out swinging with their 3rd single 'Not Alright'. The track opens with a quick intro of flanged guitar and then the whole bands joins in seconds later, and the singer Millie Cook comes in with the vocal melodies. The content of the song can't be any more relatable, she sings about societal expectations of doing the 9-5 grind and how that ultimately leaves us wanting more out of life. It's hard to really compare them with another band, their sound stands out. Definitely for fans of modern alternative music. Lots of great guitar work and usage of overdrive, chorus and reverb effects. With great musicianship, well written lyrics, and a great overall sound. Insolace will be able to shatter the glass ceiling in the near future. I give this single 8/10 on the Furious meter. I expect great things from Insolace in the near future. Stay Furious, Bill 'Furious' Groen
