CANNIBAL CORPSE:

It's been roughly a week since Cannibal Corpse's Guitarist Pat O'Brien was arrested on charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling with assault and aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer.

OFFICIAL BAND STATEMENT:

“As a band and as individuals, we all want nothing but the best for our brother and partner, Pat. While we can offer no further information about the incident, we wanted everyone to know that Pat is getting the help he needs and appreciates the love and support from Cannibal Corpse fans around the world. "

Cannibal Corpse are currently scheduled to co-headline the Decibel Magazine Tour this Spring, before opening for Slayer on select final tour dates.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

JAKE E. LEE: “I KINDA WISH I NEVER SAID YNGWIE WAS AN ARROGANT ASSHOLE, BUT HE’S AN ARROGANT ASSHOLE”

As the story goes, competition brings out the ugly in people. But in this case, it's completely true. Yngwie is an arrogant asshole.

Ultimate Guitar interview Jake, and he had this to say, “I never said he was a shit guitar player. I don’t remember how it came up. As you know, doing interviews, you get the same questions over and over – and for some reason, Yngwie came up. [Chuckles]

“And it was a left turn that I relished because it wasn’t your standard question. I won’t say I regret it, I stand by everything I said. But I never questioned his ability as a guitar player. He’s a phenomenal guitar player.

“I question his person, his being. I kinda wish I never said it, but he’s an arrogant asshole. He is. Everybody in the industry knows it, nobody really says anything. I brought it up and I shouldn’t have.

“It’s a personal opinion and it probably should have stayed personal.”

I don't know why he wants to retract, I'm sure others will support Jake's opinion.

STRANGE SHIT:

Jared Threatin

JERED THREATIN: FUCK WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK?!?

Threatin frontman Jered Threatin has given his first interview following the most ridiculous story of 2018. In a new chat with Rolling Stone, Threatin (real name Jered Eames) claims he orchestrated the whole fiasco for media attention.

I'm not going too much further with this, other than, " BRAVO, YOU ARE A COMPLETE LUNATIC."

TOUR NEWS:

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, PARKWAY Drive with AFTER THE BURIAL: North American 2019 Tour Dates confirmed

BANDS STATEMENTS:

"After having the pleasure of destroying stages all over Australia with the Parkway guys just over a month ago, we couldn't be more stoked to share the stage with them once again, this time in the States," said KsE frontman Jesse Leach. "Parkway Drive puts on an incredible live show and we are excited to combine forces and bring the energy every night to a town near you. I am absolutely certain fans of both bands are in for a hell of a time. This will be one for the memories for sure — let's rage!"

"This co-headlining tour with Killswitch Engage is a landmark for Parkway Drive in North America," said Parkway Drive's frontman Winston McCall. "Having smashed our way across the land for over a decade now, it is a humbling and defining moment to be sharing this slot with true heavy metal icons and personal heroes.
