SPR (VIMH): Hi guys, congrats on your new album “Second Life”.

CHAOSEUM: Hi Voices in my Head and thank you.

SPR (VIMH: What is the significance of naming an album after “Second Life” name?

CHAOSEUM: Almost all songs in this album talk about a second life and it’s also our second album. This title was obvious to us.

SPR (VIMH: What do the lyrics talk about? Which are your major lyrics’ influences?

CHAOSEUM: Some songs talk about our life and experience. For exemple Scream tell our feeling after our Russian tour in 2019. Some songs are just a pure imagination. The title second life is the story of a young girl who ask her father why she haven’t memory of her past…

SPR (VIMH: Which are those elements that separate your new album from your previous albums?

CHAOSEUM: Our previous album was recorded with a female vocals. The songs are between Metalcore and Heavy metal. For this album we have a new male singer, CK Smile and it’s songs are close to bands like Korn or Slipknot.

SPR (VIMH: How would you characterize “Chaoseum” and what are your expectations from the new album?

CHAOSEUM: This band has composed various songs since the first album. This new one adds an extra dimension. It has been mixed at Slab Sound Studio and the sound is excellent. We also work form the begging with Gustavo Sazes for all design.

SPR (VIMH: How’s the fans’ reactions been to the new songs on your live shows so far?

CHAOSEUM: We played our new single “Into My Split” for the first time in Los Angels at Whisky a Go-Go in January. And this song was many the most appreciate during this evening. We are impatient to play all these new songs in September 25th in Switzerland.

SPR (VIMH: Do you prefer to be on the road or on the studio writing and recording?

CHAOSEUM: Chaoseum was born in 2018 with a main goal. Be on stage ! It’s our first motivation. But we regularly write new songs because we often want to purpose something new.

SPR (VIMH: How did you come up with the name Chaoseum initially?

CHAOSEUM: We wanted an original name in one word amd in adequacy with our image. On stage, we put à makeup inspired by movies and play with with energy and a theatrical touch. Chaoseum is a little bit a museum of chaos.

SPR (VIMH: How would you describe your music style to someone that hasn’t heard of you before?

CHAOSEUM: The first album is a mix between heavy metal and metalcore. And if you like bands like Korn, Slipknot, Trivium, maybe you will like our new album.

SPR (VIMH: Which do you consider to be the best male & female vocalist in metal history?

CHAOSEUM: Only one…..not easy.

Male : Corey Taylor for his versatility

Female : Lzzy Hale from Halestorm

SPR (VIMH: Which is the record you wish you had written and why?

CHAOSEUM: “Operation Mindcrime” from Queensrÿche. I really like this record and it’s also a concept album.

SPR (VIMH: Were you obliged to give just one album to extraterrestrials that would represent the whole human music, which album would it be and from which band/artist?

CHAOSEUM: “Slippery When Wet”. I have to say : I like Bon Jovi.

SPR (VIMH: If you had the chance to travel in time… where would you choose to go? To the past or the future and why ?

CHAOSEUM: In 1970. See Led Zeppelin on stage and the birth of Hard Rock.
