Album Review: Sidus "SEASON'S REVERSED"

Sidus

Seasons Reversed

Independent Release

8/10

Coming out of Berlin, Germany, we have Sidus. Sidus is a one-man band formed by Spiros Olivotos. With this being a single person project, Spiros has complete control over his vision, and the vision he has painted here, is magnificent.

There are so many layers in each track, lush guitar parts, gritty bass lines, some synth and piano parts throughout. Everything comes together to really fill a lot of aural space, and have a cinematic feel to it. These are the kinds of tracks that you hear in films during an action packed montage, or when the story is moving points and the characters are trying to figure their next move.

It's only 5 tracks, so it's a relatively quick listen. Make sure to check it out, it sounds excellent in headphones. Queue it up next time you leave the house and enjoy the soundscapes that are being presented to you.

One of the best instrumental albums I have heard this year.

Stay Furious,

Bill 'Furious' Groen
