As 2020 opens up, punk rockers The Hellfreaks blasts out album number 4 through the speakers with the expected energy and rawness right out of the gate. Their music pounds through every track, while the searing vocals of Shakey Sue commands attention to every listener.

The Hellfreaks have harnessed skate punk, stirred in metal and mixed in a whole ton of aggression. It's music that bites back for sure..

Men In Grey starts you off with a blast of energy and aggression. This sets the bar high for the rest of the album. Red Sky, has an opening riff energizes you like a 12 pack of red bull. The quartet shows great detail and musicianship in this song. Hello Sea is difficult to say that it sounds like any other bands or songs, and it was, in a word, UNIQUE.

Now, Doldrum Dynasty is something that a Rise Against style band should take note. But again, this is all their own. I personally hate trying to compare bands to others, but it seems like that's how the world works. And The Hellfreaks take the guessing game out for me, considering ever track so far is definitely THEIRS. And not a sound-a-like.

Witches Heal takes a u-turn back into the punk rock world. The energy chugs along full steam and makes you want to strap up your boots and get out there and create a little mischief. Royal Blue was a song that didn't have as much energy like the last, but the work that was put into it was amazing nonetheless.

And here it is.... ADRENALIZED. Just the title says it all. Throw out your headphones, this one should be blasted over the speakers. Closing with the slower Tabby was a great way for the listener to start the tracks over again. Otherwise, you'll be wanting more.

As far as the age of genre blending goes, The Hellfreaks have completely obliterated the genre bending fad and propelled themselves into a new generation of punk. All I know is....GOD BETTER HAVE SOME GOOD RUNNING SHOES... THE HELLFREAKS HAS GOD ON THE RUN...
